Trimfold Envelopes September 2022 Cutting Edge Newsletter

The situation surrounding the supply chain for the paper industry in our region improved somewhat when the long running Finnish UPM mills strike finally ended. However the price outlook continues to be very uncertain, and a number of our suppliers have informed us of upcoming price increases and energy surcharges. In principle, these increases are due to volatility in raw materials supply and rising costs for both energy and transportation. As a manufacturer of long standing, we are doing everything we can to minimise the impact of these price increases under very difficult circumstances. We appreciate your continued support, and will keep you appraised of price increases at all times.

FEPE Envelope Update With developments on the raw material markets putting the sector under massive cost pressure, the Federation for Envelopes & Light and E-Commerce Packaging in Europe (.FEPE) has warned that envelopes will likely become significantly more expensive. According to the Federation, the closure of Stora Enzo Veitsiluoto mill in Finland in 2021 led to significant price increases and a shortage of envelope paper

Trimfold Envelopes April 2022 Cutting Edge Newsletter

in the weeks since our March issue of Cutting Edge, the situation facing the supply chain for the paper industry in our region has worsened further due mainly to the ongoing dispute at the UPM mills in Finland, which is now ongoing for over 100 days and added to which the devastation caused by the war in Ukraine has also wreaked damage on the European supply of paper from Russia. As this situation does not look like it will improve in the short term, we assure you we will continue to do our best to continue to provide our customers with their preferred products.

in the weeks since our March issue of Cutting Edge, the situation facing the supply chain for the paper industry in our region has worsened further due mainly to the ongoing dispute at the UPM mills in Finland, which is now ongoing for over 100 days and added to which the devastation caused by the war in Ukraine has also wreaked damage on the European supply of paper from Russia. As this situation does not look like it will improve in the short term, we assure you we will continue to do our best to continue to provide our customers with their preferred products.
